Meagan Shaw


Meagan Shaw born in Dodge City, Kansas was raised in Visalia, California where she began her dance training at the age of 10 at Sierra Performing Arts Center. Her dance training consisted of Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, and Jazz. She studied Ballet intensively with City Ballet of San Diego's summer program; under the direction of Steven and Elizabeth Wistrich, with guest faculty; David Howard, Gelsey Kirkland, Fernando Bujones, Paloma Herrera, Maria Kowroski and Zippora Karz. In addition, Meagan attended Sacramento Ballet's Summer Intensive, under the direction of Ron Cunningham and Carrine Binda. Her performance highlights include, "Latcho Drome" a contemporary piece choreographed by: Charles Maple (former soloist with ABT), "The Nutcracker" roles include; Snow, Russian, Chinese Tea, Spanish Chocolate, and Waltz of the Flowers, Annie in the ballet "Rodeo", Queen of Hearts in "Alice in Wonderland", and Swan Lake, Act ll.

Meagan continued her dance education at California State University, Fresno where she earned her BA in Dance. During her time at Fresno State, Meagan had the pleasure of working with guest choreographers; Rogelio Lopez, Sede Arbay, Ananda Ray, and took classes from Robert Moses in San Francisco. Meagan is excited to start a new chapter in her dance career with Dancers Edge and is looking forward to the future.
