Robin Levine

Teacher

Robin started dancing at the age of 3 and became known as the little girl who wouldn’t take off her tap shoes! She fell in love with dance and started training in jazz, ballet, and lyrical as well. She began competing in 1991 and continued through high school in 2002. Fun fact, Robin was actually DE’s first student!

Into adulthood Robin was introduced to musical theater and caught the bug! She took her skills to the stage performing in productions such as “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, “Spamalot”, “The Producers”, “Mary Poppins”, “Legally Blonde”, and many more throughout Los Angeles.

Shortly after, she was given the opportunity to share her love of theater with the younger generation and began producing/choreographing for El Segundo Youth Drama & El Segundo High School. It was there that she knew she was meant to teach. She choreographed many shows such as “Bye Bye Birdie”, “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “Once Upon a Mattress”, and numerous variety shows including numbers from shows like “Chicago”, “Wicked”, “Hairspray” etc... Her proudest accomplishment was starting a tap program called “Twitty’s Tappers” (her maiden name) and bringing that style of dance to a group of students who had not yet been exposed to tap. In a very short amount of time, the entire cast was able to perform tap numbers in their shows.

Outside of the studio, Robin is married with two children, her biggest accomplishments to date: Noelle & Benjamin and is SO excited that Noelle is beginning her dance journey at DE this year. Looking forward to all that this year will bring and is happy to be part of the DE Family!
